In existence since the 18th century, Château Liversan is a huge 51-hectare vineyard located in the commune of Saint Sauveur, not far from Pauillac. Classified as a Cru Bourgeois in 1932, it has been family-run since 1995.

Appellation: Haut-Médoc

Region: Bordeaux

Grape Varieties: Merlot 55%, Cabernet Sauvignon 39%, Cabernet Franc 4%, Petit Verdot 2%.

Soil Type: Sandy-silt gravel with gravelly clays, quartz fractions, limestone fragments.

Winemaking: Vinified in concrete vats and thermo-regulated stainless-steel tanks, aged in oak barrels and vats for 12 months.

Tasting Notes: Château Liversan's 2017 Haut-Médoc is a successful vintage with a purplish color, black fruit, and floral aromas. The wine expresses ripe tannins and a round finish, reflecting the gravelly soil. The vineyard's history of adapting to varying conditions shines through in this cool year.
