This family tradition has continued at Domaine Chapuis since 1850 thanks to the purchase of the first plot of vines of one hectare by Pierre Pavelot and 0.60 hectares of Charlemagne with his brother. Six Generations later, Claire and Pierre run the estate with their parents, Maurice and Anne-Marie, by their side.
Appellation: Chorey-Les Beaune. Near Beaune, the Chorey-les-Beaune appellation stretches out at the foot of the village of Aloxe-Corton.
Region: Burgundy
Grape variety: Chardonnay
Terroir: The soil is composed of marl-limestone alluvium on a stony base, deposited down from the Corton hill over the centuries. This very dry subsoil is ideal for vines, and the Chardonnay planted here produces lively and fruity wines.
