This family tradition has continued at Domaine Chapuis since 1850 thanks to the purchase of the first plot of vines of one hectare by Pierre Pavelot and 0.60 hectares of Charlemagne with his brother. Six Generations later, Claire and Pierre run the estate with their parents, Maurice and Anne-Marie, by their side.
Appellation: Corton Charlemagne Grand Cru. Located between 280 and 330 meters above sea level, Corton-Charlemagne faces south, which is rare on the Côte. The Corton hill is shared between the villages of Aloxe-Corton, Pernand-Vergelesses, and Ladoix-Serrigny. This vineyard was gifted by Emperor Charlemagne in 775 to the Collegiate Church of Saint-Andoche in Saulieu.
