Historically, the AOP Châteauneuf-du-Pape dates back to the 16th century. The Domaine du Grand Tinel's history began in 1968 with the marriage of Christiane Establet and Pierre Élie Jeune. Today, this Domaine represents 53 hectares of vineyards, with most of the vineyards being very old (about 75 years). These older vines contribute to a greater concentration of aromas and flavors in the wine. Currently, the Estate is managed by their children Isabelle, Béatrice, and Christophe.
Appellation: Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Region: Southern Rhone Valley
Grape varieties: This cuvée is made from 56% Grenache Blanc, 22% Roussanne, 15% Bourboulenc and 7% Clairette. It is a unique blend with an average vine age of 43 years.

Vintage 2024: 91 Points Wine Advocate & Jeb Dunnuck
“A blend of 50% Grenache Blanc, 21% Roussanne, 16% Bourboulenc and 13% Clairette, the 2024 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc reveals a vibrant, elegant bouquet of confit citrus, spices and white flowers. Medium- to full-bodied, round and sappy, it is also tensile, with a lively mid-palate that concludes with an ethereal, finely bitter finish.” Yohan Castaing
“Based on 50% Grenache Blanc, 21% Roussanne, 16% Bourboulenc, and 13% Clairette and aged six months in 20% new French oak with the balance in used barrels and stainless steel, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc rocks ripe orchard fruits, honeyed flowers, mint, and a hint of brioche. It's medium-bodied, clean, and balanced, with nicely integrated acidity and outstanding length. There are roughly 380 cases produced. Drink 2025-2032.” Jeb Dunnuck
Vintage 2023: 92 Points Wine Advocate & 93 Points Jeb Dunnuck
“A blend of multiple lieux-dits but crafted entirely from Grenache Blanc, the 2023 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc exhales an exotic, ripe bouquet of white fruits, honeysuckle, pear, pineapple and spices. Medium to full-bodied, deep and rich, it has good acidity and a long, minty finish. Matured for six months in 1% new barrels, 25% used barrels and the rest in stainless steel, this powerful wine could age well over the next decade.” Yohan Castaing
“All Grenache Blanc, the 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc is medium gold-hued and has a beautiful nose of ripe golden fruits, toasted spices, and white flowers. With medium-bodied richness, a ripe, round, layered mouthfeel, good acidity, and a great finish, this impeccably made white is well worth seeking out. It should have 5-7 years of longevity, although I love it today.” Jeb Dunnuck
Vintage 2022: 93 Points Jeb Dunnuck & 90 Points Robert Parker
“A blend of 56% Grenache Blanc, 22% Roussanne, 15% Bourboulenc and 7% Clairette, Grand Tinel's 2022 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is a fine, harmonious example of the genre. There's a hint of toasted grain from the 10% new French oak and 50% older barrels, while the rest is kept in stainless steel. White peach and citrus notes dominate in this plump, medium to full-bodied effort, which adds hints of anise on the finish.” Yohan Castaing
“The 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc checks in as a blend of mostly Grenache Blanc, with some Roussanne, Bourboulenc, and a little Clairette in the mix. It has a more closed, reserved style that opens up with time in the glass to show terrific stone and orchard fruits, some floral, spicy nuances, medium to full body, and a balanced, layered, seamless mouthfeel that brings the richer style of the vintage while staying light on its feet and vibrant. It's a terrific white that will shine on the dinner table over the coming 4-5+ years.” Jeb Dunnuck
