Wines Domaine du Piton - Le Piton

Domaine du Piton - Le Piton

$0.00

The Oddo family, passionate about wine, gave birth to Piton. This estate owns its vineyards on a single commune: Sancerre. The 8 hectares of Sauvignon Blanc, planted on these historic plots around the Piton de Sancerre, were conducted in Organic farming since the beginning. In addition, the Piton Estate has also received recognition for Level 3 of High Environmental Value.

Appellation: Sancerre White

Region: Loire Valley

Grape Variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc

Soil Type: 100% flint

Winemaking: Hand-harvested & sorted, slow and light pressing optimizes fruit purity. Separate vinification of flint and clay-limestones soils with natural yeasts, followed by 9 months on lees for complexity and balance.

Tasting Notes: Subtle nose of ripe lemon, Jasmine flowers, and iodine. Vibrant attack with white-fleshed fruits and a smoky Silex finish.

Food Pairing: A perfect match for fresh oysters, goat cheese (Crottin de Chavignol), grilled sea bass, and asparagus risotto.
